The Wilkinsons Point Precinct redevelopment plan has been approved by both the Glenorchy City Council and also the Tasmanian Planning Commission on September 3, 2020.

Wilkinsons Point Precinct Reinvention

The LK Group and the NBL have a shared vision for Wilkinson's Point that would reinvigorate the precinct and bring the area to life for the whole community.

The Tasmanian Planning Commission approved the plan for Wilkinson's Point on September 3, 2020, which includes potential for a number of spaces for sport, recreation and art. The project will help bring the community together through sport and entertainment, whether a spectator or participant.

Key opportunities for the precinct include:
  • Full upgrade of the DEC
  • Retail stores
  • A variety of food and beverage venues
  • Purpose built sports and entertainment facilities
  • Multi purpose indoor sports venue for community usage
  • Accommodation and transportation
  • Sports bar and brewery
